I came across this shot while editing the other day. It was from a few years ago when I was doing work for the Ascending the Giants Project. I was climbing 250ft up a Douglas Fir when about 200 ft up I broke through the lower canopy and decided to catch my breath and take this self portrait. A little scared? Hells yes! Despite the worried look on my face, I was so stoked.
Just got back from Sammy’s Invitational at Bachelor and experimented doing some different star time-lapse shots while I was there. I was trying to get the sunset as well as the star streak. This one came out ok but I found a better location for the next one. This was a 3.5 hour exposure…
I finally found chemistry to develop color E-6 film at home! I did my first test roll and it came out perfectly! The color is flawless and keeping temprature throughout the process was no problem. I’m stoked to be able to develop both black and white film as well as color slide film in-house. Now I will have complete control over the process…
I just got back from Snowboarder Mag’s Ms Superpark hosted at Squaw in California. The ladies threw down and showed astounding progression. We had a great crew including Ashley Thorton, Kelly Underwood, Stephanie Sue Feld and Marissa Krawczak. They all turned heads, killing it all week! I also got to meet a lot of the photographers I’ve looked up to over the years. It was one of the greatest events i’ve been to, it was so much fun. I’m almost done developing film and I’ll post some shots once I hear back about submissions…
